On Thursday, May 25, 2023, the Village was notified of sanitary sewer back up at 817 S Nash. Approximately 600 gallons of overflow occurred between 6:02 pm and 9:50 pm.

In response, the Village of Hortonville is required to publicly notify residents of sanitary sewer overflows (SSO) per 5.3.1.4 CMOM (Capacity, Management, Operation, Management) and the Department of Natural Resources NR 210.23 (4)(f) Wis. Adm, Code.

There was no immediate danger to the public and residents. The Village responded in a timely fashion fixing the cause and preventing any further issues.
