Q: Do I need a dog license?

A: Yes, pursuant to state statute the fee is $10 for spayed or neutered dogs and $20 for all others five months of age or older.  A rabies certificate is required for licensing new dogs, and if your dog is being re-licensed an updated certificate may be required.  Licensing your dog is an ANNUAL requirement by the State of Wisconsin and must be done by April 1st of each year.  A late fee of $5 per animal is charged after April 1st.
